The Health Ministry records 81 new COVID-19 cases in its evening update, bringing the number of cases recorded for today, to 123.

Another COVID-19 death was reported earlier today, pushing the death toll from the virus to 28.

The patient is said to be an elderly male with co-morbidities, according to the Health Ministry.  There are currently 1,201 active cases of the virus.

The Ministry says the 81 new cases are from samples taken between August 23rd to 31st and is therefore not indicative of cases over the last 24 hours only.
