Local dancehall artiste Jahllano is representing the 868 abroad.
The Laventille born star has been nominated for the Best Male Award Category in this year’s African Entertainment Awards USA.
Jahllano, born Llano Grant, goes up against nine other contenders, including musical giants like Burna Boy, Davido, Shatta Wale and Wizkid.
Saying he was “humbled” by the nomination, the star shared the news on his Instagram page, captioning “π π’π«π¬ππ₯π² π’π π₯π’π€π ππ¨ ππ‘ππ§π€ πππ‘ ππ¨π« ππ‘π’π¬….ππ‘ππ§ π π¬ππ² ππ‘ππ§π€π¬ ππ¨ π¦π² πππ¦π’π₯π², π¦π² ππππ¦, ππ«π’ππ§ππ¬ ππ§π πππ§π¬ ππ½”
Over the course of his career, Jahllano has displayed his versatility as an artiste- starting in the roots/reggae genre in the mid-2000s and later emerging on the dancehall scene, churning out tunes like βWar Dem Wantβ and βNeed A Changeβ.
