Local dancehall artiste Jahllano is representing the 868 abroad.
The Laventille born star has been nominated for the Best Male Award Category in this year’s African Entertainment Awards USA.
Jahllano, born Llano Grant, goes up against nine other contenders, including musical giants like Burna Boy, Davido, Shatta Wale and Wizkid.
Saying he was “humbled” by the nomination, the star shared the news on his Instagram page, captioning “𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐈’𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐉𝐚𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬….𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲, 𝐦𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦, 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐬 🙏🏽”
Over the course of his career, Jahllano has displayed his versatility as an artiste- starting in the roots/reggae genre in the mid-2000s and later emerging on the dancehall scene, churning out tunes like “War Dem Want” and “Need A Change”.
