According to reports, a 31-year-old mother of one, Crystal George has died following an accident that occurred earlier today, February 1, near her home. Her relatives told the Trinidad Newsday that she died at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope at about 2 pm.

George, who lived at Irving Street, Petit Bourg, died after she sustained severe head injuries when her car lost control and flew off Irving Street and landed in some bushes at Osbourne Lane, Petit Bourg. Even though she missed the houses below she still sustained major injuries including a broken leg and head injuries. The accident is believed to have occurred around 7 am.

It was more than likely caused because her brakes failed while going downhill. She was transporting her eight-year-old daughter at the time who broke both arms and one leg. She is still warded at the hospital.
