Amalgamated Workers’ Union Stands Firm On Decision To Accept CPO’s 4% Offer

Despite receiving flak from their colleagues, the Amalgamated Workers Union is standing firm on its decision to sign an agreement to the CPO’s 4% wage offer.

The Union has been heavily criticized by the joint Trade Union Movement, led by President Ancel Roget.

In a statement, the union said it considered many factors in making its decision, including the fact that in recent times, the Industrial Court has not ruled in favor of unions where there is a breakdown in negotiations.
