Another person has died due to the Covid-19 virus and two new cases have been confirmed bringing the total to 89. One of the cases is local and according to the Ministry of Health’s update the patient has no history of travel or being in contact with someone who travelled. The second case had been in contact with persons who have a recent travel history.

The fourth death was an elderly woman who had a pre-existing condition.

As of tonight Tuesday, 31st March, 583 samples were submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) for testing for COVID-19. One person has recovered from the virus.

Of the total number of positive cases, 49 of these positive cases came from the group of nationals who recently returned from a cruise: 46 positive cases from the group of 68 nationals who returned from the cruise together and 3 positive cases from the group of nationals who returned from the same cruise separately from the other 68 nationals.
