Police of the Eastern Division’s Special Operations Unit arrested a 22-year-old man and seized a firearm along with a quantity of ammunition yesterday. The seizure was made during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Sangre Grande district.

The TTPS said: “Officers conducted the exercise around 1:00pm, on Friday 10th January 2020, during which they proceeded to a house at Upper Cunapo Road, Sangre Grande, where they executed a search warrant. The search resulted in officers finding one Glock pistol loaded with 12 rounds of ammunition in the house.”

Investigations are ongoing.
