Another Vessel Intercepted By Coast Guard Officers

Three men were detained and handed over to police on Sunday, after the vessel they were being transported in was intercepted by the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard.

The vessel named ‘Amanda’ was spotted off the Southwestern coast of Trinidad, having  crossed the border from Venezuela.

A search of the vessel revealed a cargo of shrimp.

The vessel and crew have been handed over to the Customs and Excise Division and Immigration Division.

On Friday, two Trinidadian nationals and two Venezuelan nationals were held by the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard after the officers intercepted their pirogue and found $US 119,800 and two grammes of marijuana.
