Birthday Celebrations Gone Sour- Man Fatally Shot On Eve Of His 23rd Birthday

Jessie Mascall would have turned 23rd birthday on Monday, June 28th.

Gunmen robbed him of the opportunity early on Sunday morning.

Moments before 1am, police were called in to Ravine Road, after residents reported hearing gunshots.

Officers had been in the area mere moments before, having received a report that a ‘COVID party’ was in full swing along Ravine Road, around 12:30.

The officers had visited the location and observed a group of people assembled and drinking alcohol.

They were ordered to go home, to which officers say they complied.

Upon responding to the second call at the address, officers found Mascall’s body lying in a pool of blood in a track off the roadway.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
