Leroy Calliste better known as the Black Stalin has died. According to reports, he died earlier this morning at his home in San Fernando. He was 81 years old.

He reportedly died peacefully at home around 9.45 am with his family around him, according to Loop TT. His wife Patsy also revealed that he spent three weeks at the San Fernando General Hospital where the nurses and doctors gave him good treatment.

Stalin suffered a stroke eight years ago and has been ailing since.

Stalin was a five-time calypso monarch and is known for his slew of hits including “Bun Dem”, and “We Could Make it if We Try”.
