Places Of Worship Allowed To Congregate From June 12

By Newsroom

All places of worship will be allowed to hold in-person services from June 12th- ten days earlier than the original June 22nd timeline.

The announcement came from Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley during a press briefing at the Diplomatic Centre on Saturday.

These are the guidelines that all religious spaces must follow:

-Religious leaders must ensure there are stringent protocols for sanitation of the spaces.

-Physical distancing must be maintained. Where there are pews, they must be alternated at arms length. (based on the size of the church this would dictate the number allowed)

-All worshippers must wear a mask

-Services can take place for a maximum of one.

-There is no limit on the number of services any one religious body can have, however every service must follow the physical distancing guidelines mentioned above and proper sanitation must be done in between services.
