Days after mother of two Crystal Harricharan was shot and killed in Vistabella, tragedy struck the family again when her brother-in-law, Sham Bridgelal, was shot and killed while attending her wake at Boodoo Trace in Claxton Bay.

Gunmen pulled up at the house of mourning at around 12:20am on Saturday, opening fire on Bridgelal, 53, who died at the scene.

Harricharan’s murder on Tuesday morning came months after the woman had reportedly been seeking police protection over threats made on her life.

Harricharan had allegedly been receiving continuous threats from a neighbour over a parking dispute, which eventually forced her to leave her own residence and stay at a friend’s place.
