Two flights from Trinidad to Tobago which were scheduled for today have been cancelled, as Caribbean Airlines continues to face a disruption in its domestic and international service.
Dozens of flights were cancelled on Sunday, as CAL says it received a high volume of calls from pilots reporting that they were unwell and unable to report for duty.
Domestic passengers have been advised that they will be accommodated on an 8:30am ferry sailing from Port of Spain to Scarborough.
Caribbean Airlines will also operate two charter flights to Miami today, to ease travel chaos caused by a service disruption over the weekend.
The Airline notes that the situation comes amid ongoing negotiations with the Trinidad and Tobago Airline Pilots Association over a collective agreement for the period 2015 -2018.
Meanwhile, The T&T Pilots Association has denied sanctioning any strike action by its members and points out that it is barred from doing so, according to the Industrial Relations Act.
