Swimmer Dylan Carter earned Trinidad and Tobago its first gold medal in this year’s CAC Games when he smashed his July 2019 record of 48.86 seconds in the men’s 100m freestyle, to finish in 48.49 seconds.
Mikel Schreuders of Aruba placed second with a finishing time of 49.17) seconds, while Mexico’s Jorge Iga finished in 49.38 seconds.
Meanwhile, Trinidad and Tobago’s Nikoli Blackman finished in sixth place in 50.29 seconds.
