Celebratory Welcome Home Planned for Miss World T&T

The Miss World Trinidad and Tobago (MWTT) Franchise will host a ‘Homecoming Ceremony’ for the Trinidad and Tobago Representative and newly crowned Miss World Caribbean, Miss Aché Abrahams later today at 6 pm at the Piarco International Airport.

Miss Abrahams placed in the Top 4 of the Miss World Pageant, which was held on Saturday 9th March 2024 in Mumbai, India. Her placing was evidenced by her top ranking in the Head-to-Head Challenge speaking on topics related to Sustainable Development, her many passionate interviews with the judges, her exceptional singing abilities as part of the talent segment, her graceful stage presence and outstanding responses during the final pageant, and her placement within the top 10 of the Beauty with a Purpose with her Invisible Scars Project.

Miss World Representative will arrive via a British Airways London flight BA 2239. Abrahams is expected to land at 6.00 pm, where officials of the Airports Authority’s Protocol Services will receive her.

Senator the Honourable Donna Cox, Minister of Social Development and Family Services, and key officials of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, are expected to be in attendance.

A celebratory cultural welcome is expected with family, friends and fans assembling from 5.30 pm at the front entrance of the Airport, with entertainment by the First Citizens Dragon Boys Tassa Band, African Dancers – Exceptional School of Dance led by Aaliyah Lewis, Indian Dancers – Premala New Generation Dance Academy led by Abbigail Christopher, and African Drummers from her community of La Seiva.

Also expected will be a steelpan group.
