Charged With Killing His Girlfriend

A Guyanese national has been charged with the Carnival Sunday murder of Nicole Hackshaw who was killed at El Dorado, Tunapuna.

Fifty-eight-year-old Wilfred Perez was charged on Thursday and is due to appear in court today.

Perez lived at a house on the Eastern Main Road in El Dorado.

Hackshaw, 50, of Trincity, was found dead outside  the house on Sunday 23rd February with wounds to her face.

She was apparently beaten to death.

A male suspect was arrested at the scene and a piece of wood covered in blood which is believed to be the murder weapon was seized at the scene.
