A 49 year old businessman charged with sexually assaulting a minor was granted bail in the sum of $75,000 when he virtually appeared before the Siparia Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Sham Mohammed, who operates a Supermarket in Penal, was charged with indecently assaulting a 15 year old girl, as well as employing a minor at his establishment.

Magistrate Margaret Alert granted bail on the condition that Mohammed has zero contact with the girl.

The matter was adjourned to June 2nd.
