Charged With Using Insulting Language

The son of Cedric Burke has been arrested and charged with using insulting language and resisting arrest.

But 20-year-old Ronaldo Burke pleaded not guilty when he appeared in the Port of Spain  Third Magistrate’s court today. And he was granted bail in the sum of TT$10,000 with surety.

Ronaldo of  Production Avenue, Sea Lots, was charged with the offences by PC Raghoonanan, of the Besson Street Operations Unit, on Wednesday. 

The matter was adjourned to March 11..

The official news release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) says that  officers were on mobile patrol  in Sea Lots around 6:45am on Wednesday “when a male suspect used insulting language against them. When officers attempted to arrest the man, he resisted.”

“Officers eventually managed to apprehend the man who was taken to the Besson Street Police Station, where he was charged.”
