Popular Boom Champions radio DJ Randy Anim Mansoor, best known by hIs on-air personality Mr Smooth, has been formally charged with three domestic violence related charges.

The charges include common assault, choking with intent to unconscious and assault by beating.

It marks the latest development following allegations he publicly abused his wife, Alana Mansoor.

Last week, the two appeared before a Sangre Grande Magistrate, with each party claiming they had been abused by the other.

Earlier this month, allegations against the Makeup or Breakup host began circulating online, with witnesses claiming Mr. Mansoor dealt his wife a punch to the face while the two were in front of a doubles stand on June 5th.

In a social media post on June 9th, Boom Champions condemned acts of violence, saying it had been investigation claims made against a few of its employees.

Mr. Mansoor had also initiated legal action against the person who shared the alleged incident at the doubles stand, calling the claims made against him erroneous.
