This was confirmed  by Southex CEO George Singh in an official statement this morning.

According to the release, next year’s event will be held in a 100% safe environment, guided by all Public Health protocols.Corporate Trinidad & Tobago has been very supportive of this event.

The music of Trinidad & Tobago now features in every Carnival everywhere, and it is this music that drives these global festivals. In this time of ‘social distancing’, we are cognizant of the public health protocols in place, but we are also very aware of the responsibility that we have to continue the annual development of the Chutney Soca brand of music,” Singh said.

All performers on stage, handlers, prop builders at venue, technical crew etc will also be required to show proof of vaccination.

The organizers have also revealed that the Semi Finals will be held in a sterile environment and will be designed for social media, with 2-3 minute clips posted to all our social media platforms.

“We believe that this will drive the interest and make the event more interactive, putting it closer to our audience and fan base,” the statement said.
