CMO: “Report To Be Handed Over To Family Of Man Who Died After Taking Covid-19 Vaccine”

By Newsroom

The family of the 60 year old public health retiree who died days after taking the Covid-19 vaccine, will receive the official findings from a report conducted to determine the cause of his death.

This was revealed by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Roshan Parasram, during Saturday’s Covid-19 media briefing.

The man passed eight days after taking the Covid-19 vaccine, after developing blood clots which eventually led to paralysis from the waist down.

However, CEO of the South West Regional Health Authority, Dr. Brian Amor, said investigations found there was no connection between his symptoms and taking the vaccine.

Addressing the matter on Saturday, Dr. Parasram said the family will be informed before any further public statements are made on the matter.

“With regards to that particular matter, the SWRHA has submitted to my office, a clinical report relating to that particular event. I’ve also sent it to a consultant hematologist, who works in the Ministry of Health, and independently had a look at it and gave me on Friday the findings as it related to that report. The matter is before SWRHA, who has contacted the relatives of that particular individual, and they would be having a full disclosure clinical meeting with all clinicians involved (and) with that family in the near future. Once that is complete, SWRHA may want to issue a statement thereafter,” the CMO said.
