‘On behalf of the entire Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), I extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of WPC Campbell during this difficult time. Her sudden passing is a devastating loss to all who knew her and our police family.’

This from Commissioner of Police, Erla Christopher on the passing of No. 18861 Woman Police Constable ATHALIAH CAMPBELL, who served her country for 12 years and was last attached at the Police Academy. Initial reports indicate that after performing her duties from 6 am to 3 pm
this afternoon (Feb. 13), while driving her personal vehicle around 5 pm, along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, near the Charles Street turn-off, WPC Campbell allegedly lost control and collided with a light pole.

Sadly, she sustained fatal injuries. Upon hearing the news, DCP Simon, Snr Supt Soodeen and ASP Berite visited the scene of the accident. The TTPS is committed to providing all necessary support to WPC Campbell’s family during this time of grief. We will ensure they receive counselling, and any other resources needed to help them cope with their loss.

St Maragaret’s Police are currently conducting enquiries into the matter.
