Cops Arrest Three In Connection With Arima Robbery

Three men from East Dry River, Port of Spain, were arrested on Friday after a robbery in the Arima area.

The incident occurred after the victim exited a pharmacy located at O’Meara Road, Arima.

One of the suspects approached the woman and pulled two gold chains and one tabage holder from around her neck.

The suspect fled with another man along La Chance Trace.

The items were valued at approximately TT$9,000.00.

Ag Cpl Jackman and a party of officers on patrol responded to a report which indicated the suspects had fled in a silver Toyota Corolla. The vehicle was intercepted in the vicinity of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway and O’Meara Road traffic lights.

A search of the vehicle and its occupants was conducted and one of the items was allegedly found in the back seat of the vehicle.

The three suspects in the vehicle, ranging in age from 18 to 21 were arrested. 

Investigations are continuing.
