By Newsroom

A man with a firearm- a Glock- was arrested at the Bess West Supermarket just before ten o’clock, after the police were alerted.

The cops then went to a nearby street where they found two others sitting in a parked Tiida where they found a loaded magazine for the Glock. All three were arrested.

It was around 9:50 pm on Wednesday officers were on mobile patrol along the Western Main Road when they received information about a man having a firearm in his possession at the Bess West Supermarket,  on Mathura Street.

The officers responded and had cause to search a male suspect when they found the  Glock 19 pistol loaded with a magazine containing 18 rounds of 9mm ammunition. The 23-year-old suspect was immediately arrested and taken to the Four Roads Police Station where he remains in custody.

Moments later, the same officers were then alerted to two male occupants of a Nissan Tiida motor vehicle parked outside a nearby Subway restaurant. When they arrived, the officers searched the vehicle and its two occupants. There, they discovered one Glock magazine hidden in a bag in the vehicle.

The two male occupants, a 21-year-old and 23-year-old, were also  arrested and taken to the Four Roads Police Station, where they remain in custody.
