Cops Seize Guns And Ganja

Cops arrested eight persons during an early morning anti-crime exercise in Santa Cruz, St Joseph, and Maracas which started at one o’clock and ended at six o’clock. Among them were three men who will be charged with three counts of shooting with intent, in connection with an offence which occurred just over a week ago on April 14.

In another incident, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) reported three male suspects were arrested for possession of firearm, ammunition and of marijuana, namely one  9mm Beretta with 15 rounds, one Glock 19 pistol with  14 rounds and an extended magazine with ten rounds 9mm ammunition as well as four rounds of 5.56 ammunition and 600 grams of marijuana. Two male suspects were also arrested for the offence of cultivating marijuana (96 plants). A trap gun along with one spent 12-gauge cartridge was also recovered in the Maracas St Joseph district.
