By Lillian Searles

A Canadian man and a Guyanese woman have been charged with the trafficking of bogus ATM cards and possession of the card-making equipment.

Kingson Yogonathan, 30, a Canadian national, and Geeta Mohabir, 27, a Guyanese national, were held by police in Mausica during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Northern and Central division last week.

Their vehicle was intercepted and searched, where police found counterfeit cards and receipts.

A further search of their apartment resulted in one bulletproof vest, a red dot scope, a quantity of card skimming equipment and a quantity of counterfeit cards being found and seized.

A female suspect, who also lives at the address, was detained in connection with the finds.
