A 40-year-old man has been granted bail in the sum of $150,000 with a surety, while his partner, a 34- year old woman was granted $100,000 bail with a surety, when they both appeared before Magistrate Rajendra Rambachan, at the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on 25th April, jointly charged with Sexual Penetration

According to the TTPS: The woman was charged with one count of Sexual Penetration and the man with two counts of Sexual Penetration. As part of the bail condition, the accused couple shall not communicate directly or indirectly with the victim.

They are expected to reappear in court 23rd May, 2023. According to police reports, a minor informed a male relative that sometime between October and December 2022, a couple allegedly sexually penetrated her on seperate occasions.

The matter was reported to the Roxborough Special Victims Department, and WPC Small conducted an investigation. As a result of the investigations, the couple was arrested and charged on 24th April, 2023. Investigations were supervised by Senior Supt. Claire Guy Alleyne, ASP Seecharan, and Inspector Miller.
