COVID-19 Death Toll Increases To 32, Health Ministry Records 102 New Cases

The Ministry of Health provides the following update: 

One hundred and two (102) additional persons have tested positive for COVID-19. These are results from samples taken during the period August 28th to September 4th, 2020. Therefore, this figure is NOT representative of the positive cases over the last 24 hours only.

It should be noted that, of the one hundred and two (102) COVID-19 positive cases reported, thirty-three (33) of these refer to persons who were already housed at a public health quarantine facility and have not been in circulation within the national community. All established protocols have been implemented.

The Ministry of Health regrets to inform the public that there is an additional COVID-19 related death. The person is an adult male with co-morbidities. This brings the total number of COVID19 related deaths to 32.

  Ten (10) additional persons have been discharged.

COVID-19 Positive Patients in Hospital – (100)

One thousand one hundred and eighty five (1,185) patients have been home isolated under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical Officer Health (CMOH) offices.

Sixty-nine (69) patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOHs.
