Covid-19 global deaths pass 30 000 and over 600 000 people infected

As the world continues to fight the Covid-19 virus, global deaths have surpassed 30,000, with more than 10,000 of those in Italy. The US has the most confirmed cases worldwide, surpassing China and Italy with about 121,289 and 2,046 deaths.

The US CDC has issued a travel advisory urging people in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to refrain from non-essential domestic travel for the next two weeks.

In Spain, they reported their highest increase in coronavirus deaths today, but saw a drop in infection rate while in Japan there are reports of the country’s largest single-day increase in coronavirus cases. They have about 1500 cases of the virus so far. Around the world 683,502 have been infected and 146,396 people have recovered.
