Starting next week, fully vaccinated persons who are considered to be vulnerable- such as the elderly or those with serious co-morbidities- will be able to access a third Covid-19 shot to increase immunity.
This was announced by Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh during Saturday’s Covid-19 media conference.
These shots, he explained, are not considered booster shots but additional primary doses.
Immunocompromised people must present a letter from their physician to be administered the third dose.
See the Ministry’s details below about who qualifies for a third vaccine dose, as well as how the additional doses will be administered for each vaccine brand.
