Covid-19 Update: 186 Positive Patients Within Prison System

There are currently 186 Covid-19 positive patients within the prison system. 

This is according to the Health Ministry’s update for today.

Those patients are receiving the necessary care in an isolated area, away from their regular cells. 

The bulk of those cases were recorded on November 22nd, triggering a lockdown of the system.

Meanwhile a total of 21 more people have tested positive for the virus over the last 24 hours, taking the number of cases on record to 6,725 with 743 being active.

There are 43 patients in hospital to date and 657 others in self isolation.

The isolation figure includes the 186 in the prison system, according to the Ministry. 

Deaths remain at 121 today, with 300 patients in state quarantine and 22 in step-down facilities.
