The Ministry of Health reported 85 new COVID-19 cases in its morning update (August 25) from samples taken over the past week. 

One of the new cases was recorded in Tobago. 

Meanwhile, 13 persons have been discharged from across the following step-down facilities, having fully recovered from the virus.

o   Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility – 1

o   UWI, Freedom Hall – 6

o   Brooklyn, Sangre Grande – 5

o   Tacarigua – 1
