An Unvaccinated Traveller Allegedly Tried To Finesse The System. He Was Arrested And Charged

Wendell Ince, an unvaccinated national who flew in to Trinidad on a flight from Guyana, was arrested and charged when authorities realized he included false information on his TT Travel Pass.

According to police statement, Ince, who is also a German citizen, indicated he had booked a stay at the Kapok Hotel in St. Clair to undergo his mandated quarantine.

“But investigations revealed he had no confirmed booking, although he said he had one,” the police statement read.

 Charged under the Quarantine Act, Ince pleaded not guilty when he appeared in court and was granted  $40,000 bail with surety. 

He will reappear on October 6th.
