Culture Minister Reconsiders Rules For Performance Spaces After Sekon Sunday

By Newsroom

Tourism, Culture and the Arts Minister Randall Mitchell has called for a meeting with the board and management of all performance spaces under his purview, to have a revision of their operations during the Covid-19 pandemic.

It comes as Minister Mitchell weighed in on the execution of the recently held Sekon Sunday show.

The Culture Minister says he was advised that the show was to be recorded to be broadcast, with approximately 200 people in attendance, but said video footage was a cause for concern.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is also conducting an investigation into the concert- a development that has been welcomed by the star of the show Sekon Sta, whose real name is Nesta Boxill.
