CXC Postpones This Year’s Exams By Three Weeks

By Newsroom

CSEC and CAPE examinations will now begin on May 23rd, as the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) announces a three week delay in the administration of this year’s regional exams.

The decision was made following a special meeting earlier today.

The examination body says results are projected to be released in late August or early September.

CXC’s Registrar and CEO Dr Wayne Wesley says the decision was taken after consideration was given to the continued impact of the pandemic across the region.

CXC has also granted a two-week extension for the submission of School Based Assessments.

It will also release a list of the broad topics to be covered in this year’s exams.
