Digicel has announced that it will close the SportsMax and Loop News. According to Liam Donnelly, Group Chief Business Officer, the focus will be now placed on where the company can create the greatest value for customers and the communities it serves. The moves comes as Digicel focuses on an integrated suite of ICT services within Digicel Business.

Loop News will cease to operate as a news provider with immediate effect, while SportsMax will broadcast for the last time on August 8th. Digicel has also advised that those impacted by the change have been informed and with the process managed in line with all local labour laws.

Digicel recently secured a 100% acquisition of Sympta and will offer integrated suite of ICT services – including cyber, cloud, digital media, and compliance.
