A double murder was recorded overnight, in which a mother and son were the victims.

Thirty-six year old Kwesi Parris and his 68 year old mother Norva Le Maitre were targeted  at Jackson street in Curepe, at around 8pm.

A third person, 65 year Peter Perreira, was also wounded and taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition. He was shot on both arms and legs.

Police are working on the theory the killings could possibly have been gang related, given the house is located near a known drug block.

Twenty 9mm spent shells at the scene.

Investigations are continuing.
