Police visited Upper Welcome Road off Ragoonanan Road in Cunupia on Monday afternoon, where they discovered  two bodies in a barrel and a suitcase.

The victims have been identified as retired police Corporal, Kenneth Makhan, 62, and his wife, Leela, 65.

According to reports, officers were informed that a Hyundai Tucson, registered to the couple, had been found in the Central Division on Monday morning.

This prompted them to visit the couple’s home where they made the find. It is unclear when the murders took place but residents say they had not seen  the couple in roughly one week.
