Citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will go to the polls on November 5th.

The election date was announced by Prime Minister Gonsalves on Thursday night, during a virtual party meeting.

The political race is expected to be a straight fight between Dr. Gonsalves’ Unity Labour Party, which will be seeking its fifth consecutive term in office, and the New Democratic Party.

Dr. Gonsalves has served as Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines since 2001.

Gonsalves and the ULP were re-elected for the fourth time, to govern St. Vincent and The Grenadines in December of 2015 by securing 8  of the 15 parliamentary seats.

Nomination day in St Vincent and Grenadines will be on Tuesday 20th October 2020.
