Education Ministry Unveils Guidelines As Forms 4-6 Return To Classes October 4th

By Newsroom

The Education Ministry has published its guidelines as fully vaccinated students in forms 4-6 return to physical classes from October 4th. Under the ‘new normal’ an Education District Health Services Unit will be established at each of the seven education districts in Trinidad.

They will liaise with schools and the relevant units of the Ministry of Health.

The Education Ministry says Tobago has made their own arrangements.

PM: “39,000 Students Vaccinated To Date”

As he delivered the statistic during Thursday’s media conference, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley expressed disappointment with the suggestion put forward by some education stakeholders, that classes should remain fully virtual so vaccinated students do not have an advantage over the unvaccinated.

Dr. Rowley assured that while unvaccinated students will not be allowed to attend in-person classes when forms 4-6 resume on October 4th, mechanisms are being put in place to ensure they continue learning via their virtual platform.
