Eight police officers have been detained in connection with the ongoing Firearm Users License investigation.
In a brief statement this afternoon, the TTPS confirmed the detainment of the officers, saying further information will be shared as it becomes available.
It comes after two officers were arrested and charged as part of the probe last September.
In December 2021, government announced a six-member team, comprising of three former police officers, tasked with conducting an audit of the FUL licenses issued over three years.
