Eleven finalists have been chosen from the 32 artistes who performed at semi-final of the Chutney Soca Monarch.

According to a release from the CSM:

The women at the event outperformed the men as six of the 10 women now move to the final while only five of the 22 men move forward.

The ladies in the competition while competing for the main prize and title of Chutney Soca Monarch will also vie for the coveted title of Queen of Chutney Soca. Daddy Chinee will be defending his crown at the Grand Final which is carded for Saturday 10th February at Skinner Park in San Fernando.

The Grand Final will be hosted by Big Rich and International Social Media Influencer Carla Henry, who will be flying in from Colorado for the event. International TV show host, Vashtie Doorga will also be coming in from Toronto to host the TV stream of the event.

The entertainment at the Final will include DJ Anna and Simmo, Yung Bredda and Pimpin, Ravi B and Karma, Neval Chatelal, Nishard M, Rooplal G with a concert set by RG the Band! Other top Soca acts will also make guest appearances.

The final will be converted to one big Chutney Soca party from about midnight just after the competition where colored cannons will highlight the theme of ‘The Colors of Chutney’ as colored powder will fire into the crowd that have been asked to ‘wear white’.

This is the first time there will be an equal number of women competing against the men at the highest level. The 12 artistes competing for the top prizes of Chutney Soca Monarch and Queen of Chutney Soca are as follows –
