Errol Fabien Thankful As Donations Help To Save Gayelle Studio From Foreclosure

By Newsroom

Gayelle will live to see another day!

This was the sentiment shared by the television station via social media, as it confirmed that it had met the GoFundMe goal of raising $60,000USD, essentially saving the building from foreclosure.

The campaign was started on Thursday morning, mere hours after Errol Fabien, founder of Gayelle, posted that he had been evicted from his St. Joseph home, where the television studio is also housed.

He explained in the video  that despite having already paid a ‘significant sum’ of money to the bank, he had been unable to fulfill his mortgage payments over the last few months as the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult to make ends meet.

In a tweet on Thursday evening, Gayelle thanked supporters who chipped in.

“Just as Errol has selflessly given to the community through the years, so too, you have selflessly expressed your love for him. Thanks to each and every one for this overwhelming show of support. Gayelle will live to see another day!!” the station tweeted.

The GoFundMe account brought in a total of $63,448USD in donations, more than the $60,000USD requested.
