Isaiah Chioke Cadet, the son of the late journalist and activist Marcia Henville, was gunned down in Aranguez on Wednesday afternoon. 

25 year old Cadet, who hails from Penco Gardens, Chaguanas, was at Mehelal Street in Aranguez at around 3pm when he was approached by another man who shot him, killing him on the spot. 

Another victim who was shot was rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for emergency attention.

Henville was found at her Fidel Heights home in St. Augustine in January 2015, with her throat slit. Her home had been set on fire following her murder.Her husband, Sheldon Henville, was later arrested and charged with the crime.

In her years in the media, Henville used her social platforms to fearlessly highlight injustice and violence in at risk communities.
