Michael Maynard, 37, had separated from his wife a year ago and was taking care of his two children. An eleven-year-old boy and a nine-year-old autistic daughter, Makisha, whom he killed on Sunday.

And then hanged himself from a tree afterwards near his home at Boysie Trace in  Kelly Village, Caroni.   

The eleven-year-old boy witnessed the beating which led to the death of his sister.  Makisha was beaten until she becomes unconscious and the father who had apparently tripped off became remorseful when he realized what he had done.

The child, after she became unconscious, was dressed and laid out on a bed by her father who hanged himself from a tree when he realized that she never recovered.
