Fire officers were called to respond to a fire near the Tetron Barracks in Chaguaramas on Tuesday morning, which threatened to demolish ammunition bunkers.

A statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force said  “The Regiment along with the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service have been working assiduously to prevent any injuries as well as damage to property, of which neither has occurred thus far.”

The incident is believed to have been triggered by a nearby bush fire.
