Firearm, Ammo and Narcotics Seized During Operation Blue Line

Officers of the TTPS have recovered a firearm and quantities of ammunition and narcotics during ongoing Operation Blue Line exercises, conducted in the South Western and Tobago Divisions.

In the South Western Division, officers of the Anti-Gang Unit conducted an exercise between 12 noon and 3 pm, on Thursday 27th July 2023, during which they proceeded to a swampy area in Icacos Village, Cedros.

There they conducted a search and found one revolver loaded with one round of ammunition, 89 rounds of 5.56 ammunition and a quantity of marijuana.

Meanwhile, in the Tobago Division, officers conducted an exercise between 1 pm and 2 pm, yesterday in the Roxborough district. It was directed by ACP Hazel, and coordinated by Snr. Supt. Jackman and included officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force, the Criminal Investigations Department, the Guard and Emergency Branch, Shirvan Road, Crown Point, Roxborough, Moriah and Scarborough Police Stations.

During the exercise, a 43-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both of Belle-Garden were arrested for possession of marijuana and marijuana trees in excess of four trees.

A total of 1.7 kilograms of marijuana was seized during the exercise. Investigations are ongoing into the above matters.
