Three young men who allegedly set out to rob a home at Strathmore Avenue in Glencoe on Wednesday afternoon are now in police custody, after a resident alerted the authorities.
The incident took place around 1:45pm.
Officers attached to the Western Division Emergency Response Patrol were immediately contacted by a resident who alerted them if a robbery in progress.
A statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said the men attempted to evade police, causing the two vehicles to collide along Morne Coco Road, Petit Valley.
A search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of stolen times including cell phones and jewellry.
