Two Acting Inspectors and Sergeant and a Constable have been arrested by officers of the Professional Standards Bureau on Monday morning.

The pre-dawn arrests- at four’ clock this morning-  arose from an investigation into  reports of  “attempting to pervert the course of justice.”

The Inspectors are attached to the  Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department,  while the Sergeant works at the Chaguanas Major Crime Section. The Police Constable serves the Chaguanas Task Force.

One of the arrested officers was held before Carnival on allegations involving human trafficking.

Investigations are ongoing, according to the TTPS in a News Release issued on Monday afternoon.
