Four more cases of Covid-19 confirmed, bringing the total to 94

Ninety four people have been confirmed as having the Covid-19 virus, according to the Ministry of Health’s update as this afternoon, Wednesday April 2nd. Six-hundred and thirty-eight samples were submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) for testing. The number of deaths stands at five and one person has recovered from the virus.

Two of the newly confirmed cases had contact with a person who tested positive for COVID 19, while the third confirmed case is a person with a history of recent travel. The fourth confirmed case today is pending epidemiological investigation.

Of the total number of positive cases, 49 of these positive cases came from the group of nationals who recently returned from a cruise: 46 positive cases from the group of 68 nationals who returned from the cruise together and 3 positive cases from the group of nationals who returned from the same cruise separately from the other 68 nationals.
